The FC 2 ST Matched Pair of F.E.T. Condenser Microphones from Golden Age Project includes a matched stereo pair of FC 2 Microphones and a stereo mounting bar for configuring the microphones using X-Y, ORTF, spaced pair, and other stereo-miking configurations. The package also includes a spider-type shock mount for each microphone. The two FC 2 microphones are matched within 1 dB, and are recommended for drums (as overheads and room mics), acoustic guitars, choirs, amps, organs, percussion, and similar applications. Singly, the mics can be used with vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, and other fretted instruments.
The cardioid FC 2 microphone features discrete Class-A electronics. A 100 Hz high-pass filter is provided to prevent rumble and other unwanted low-end information from being recorded. A 10 dB pad allows you to attenuate the input level when recording loud sources. The FC 2 features a heavy-duty brass body, a gold-plated XLR connector, and a gold-sputtered, low-distortion capsule. There is a wide frequency response and a large dynamic range for versatility, enabling use of the FC 2 in studio, live-sound, and broadcast recording applications.
