Varipoles are a great way to support backdrops or accessories while saving the floor space taken up when using stands. All that's required is a firm surface for the pole top to grip. If your room has a drop ceiling, the Impact Drop Ceiling Adapter clamps scissor-like to an intersection of your drop ceiling support frame. Simply remove the Varipole's rubber top and the spring top adapter and insert the top of the Varipole into the adapter's receiver. An Allen screw is included for additional tightening if necessary (3mm Allen key sold separately).

What is the best way to clamp it onto the support frame? I can get one side attached but it's too tight to get the other side onto the frame.
The best way is to attach the adapter to one side of the drop down ceiling frame and with your hands squeeze the sides together to move the scissor action so it fits on to the other side.Some times with these types of adapters you need to do it a few times to loosen it up.If you still have an issue please contact customer service directly.

These are designed to be used with the Impact Varipoles. The Varipoles support the actual weight of the roll.
