National Optical 448TBL-20 1x/2x Stereo Microscope

The 448TBL-20 1x/2x Stereo Microscope from National Optical is a dual magnification stereoscopic microscope fit for laboratories, high school and university students. The stereo (two) eyepiece configuration is preferred by most researchers and students because of the superior depth of field and comfort compared to monocular microscopes. This model of the 448 stereo microscope has a paired 20x eyepiece delivering 20x and 40x magnification. Two achromatic paired objectives are parcentered and parfocalled to keep the specimen centered and focused when switching between the two magnification settings. The stage can be illuminated from above and/or below using 10W tungsten lights activated by separate base-mounted On/Off switches. The top (incidental) light source has an adjustable beam to help optimize the brightness and contrast of the specimen.
