The D/Focus Systems D/Mount V4 for Using D/Focus with a DSLR lets you use your D/Focus V3 Follow Focus with a DSLR without at the same time having both mounted on 15mm rods. Mounting onto rods is otherwise the only way to connect the two together.
Just as a camera baseplate would slide up and down along a pair of rods, adjusting closer to or farther from a follow focus, D/Mount features a camera baseplate that likewise slides forward and backward along a base. And a thumbscrew locks the slide tight into position.
