The LEE Filters System is GREAT but, I had some existing 4mm thick filters I wanted to use with it. Bought this, popped them on, and presto. Done. Perfect.

They work!

These spacers are required for certain thicker filters such as the Cavision glass ones. They are easily installed into the Lee filter holder. The installation info on the Lee web site is helpful. You will probably want the 4mm slot closest to the lens but other options are possible. They work very well once installed.

Use this with the LEE Filters SW150 Filter Holder Kit, it allows the use of a polarizer. Highly recommended!

so you can cut off the nubs which are supposed to align the assembly. Then you will succeed in getting these things installed.

Well made, but slightly larger than other parts

Like the whole LEE system, these are well built and hold 4mm filters nicely. Not too snug, not too loose. However, like other reviewers here I found the size to be slightly different than my other LEE filter guides. My other parts, the spacers and 2mm guides, are slightly shorter than this 4mm guide. The plastic wholes and bumps/nubs don't align well enough. Without modification there would be one end bending up. I took a razor blade and drill to my parts to make them sit happily. My guess is that the manufacture of these small parts have varied slightly over time. I bought my LEE system used and I suspect it is older. That's not an excuse, though. Such measurements shouldn't change and these tolerances are not too hard to maintain.

What can you say about filter guides from Lee except they work as promised. these are needed if you plan on adding a square polarizer to your filter armada.

Don't listen to the other review's here. These fit perfectly without any modifications. You just have to make sure you use the existing lower spacers that came with the lee filter holder. You can mix it up have 2 x 4mm rails or a 2mm and 4mm rail. Still no vignetting with the Canon 16-35mm F2.8 L II on FF body.

Hello I have the sw150 this work
Asked by: manuel d.
No, it will not work with the LEE Filters SW150 Filter System Holder. The LEE Filters Side Guides for 4mm Thick Filters is only designed for usage with the LEE Filters Foundation Kit (Standard 4x4 , 4x6 Filter Holder).

Hi,I have a SW150 and planning to buy this to fit the 150mm CPL ( need the exact screws to go with this. Also is there anything recommended to ave a secure fit. Please recommend.

The holder is not meant to be used with that size guides and they do not recommend a screw that will work with that.

I ordered these 4mm rails to use with 4mm-thick glass filters, but the rails I received are identical in size and thickness to the standard 2mm rails already on my Lee holder. Am I missing something on how these are supposed to be installed to accommodate 4mm-thick filters, or did I just mistakenly get sent the wrong rails? The bag they came in is listed with part number FHB4(2), which appears from an internet search to be the correct part number for the 4mm rails.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I managed to get a correct copy of these 4mm side guides and can confirm that they're thicker. The total thickness front to back (including the flange) is 5.8mm, while the thickness of part that sits adjacent to the filter (excluding the flange) is 4.5mm. The side guides I received previously, which prompted this question, were simply an error.

Id like to know if I need any accesory, screws or whatever, to fit it in my LEE foundation system

You would need screws for these guides depending on how many filters you intend on using at once. Here is a link to the screws that are available for these guides:

Hi, Can I stack these to have 2 x 4mm rails on a Lee 100 system?
Asked by: Angelo
Yes you can stack two 4mm guides together. Note you might need longer LEE Filters Side Guide Screws and depending on the lens you might get some vignette.
