The MAX Wedge Equatorial Wedge from Meade is specifically engineered for Meade's 16" LX600 ACF optical tube assembly. This equatorial wedge is mounted between the optical tube and the MAX Tripod to precisely align your telescope with Earth's axis. This wedge also allows uninterrupted tracking from horizon to horizon through the meridian, without the meridian flip common with most equatorial mounts.
Machined from a solid block of lightweight ultra-rigid aircraft aluminum, the MAX Wedge stands alone in the equatorial wedge market, delivering enhanced stability and mounting security while also enabling precise altitude and azimuth adjustments. Designed for use with the MAX Tripod, this wedge can also be permanently mounted to an observatory pier (hardware sold separately).
