Matthews 4.25" Half Double Wire Stainless Diffusion (Red with Silver)

The red with silver 4.25" Half Double Wire Stainless Diffusion from Matthews is impervious to rust and holds up well under uneven, intense heat, thus making it preferable for use with open face or Fresnel lighting fixtures. The Stainless Scrim does not diffuse light; its function is to reduce light output at the source.

The scrim does not affect the color temperature and produces no electronic interference. It may be stacked to achieve limitless variation of light intensity. It is available from 5 to 29” to meet the requirements of almost any professional light in the industry and has a half double configuration. Halves (sold separately) are employed to reduce a portion of the beam and are commonly used when the light is striking the plane of the subject or background at an angle. The half reduces the light falling on the nearest part of the plane to balance with the light reaching the most distant part of the plane.
