The Sony SNC-DH280 Network 1080p HD Vandal-Resistant Minidome Camera is enclosed in an IK10-certified housing designed to protect it from destructive behavior. Thanks to its IP66-rated weatherproof housing, you can use the HD Camera for uninterrupted surveillance in outdoor as well as indoor locations. Equipped with a built-in heater, the Minidome HD Camera delivers optimized performance even in freezing temperatures.
Video of the surveillance location is captured using a 1/2.8" progressive scan Exmor CMOS sensor at a maximum resolution of up to 1920 x 1440. The camera’s 3.1 to 8.9mm varifocal lens offers wide coverage of the surveillance area. Images can be streamed in H.264, JPEG or MPEG-4 formats, allowing for flexible data management. In addition, dual streaming of these formats is also possible.
An Optical Day/Night function automatically switches the camera from color to a sensitive B&W mode when light levels fall, thus ensuring optimum image quality 24-hours a day. Built-in IR illuminators help in capturing clear images in low-light conditions (0 lux) at a distance of up to 49’ (15 m).
The XDNR (eXcellent Dynamic Noise Reduction) technology minimizes motion blur to capture detailed images under low illumination conditions. View-DR (Visibility Enhanced Wide Dynamic Range) corrects extreme lighting environments marked by high-contrast and harsh backlit scenes. For improved image quality, you can adjust the brightness and color reproduction of the image on a pixel-by-pixel basis.
Operating on Sony's DEPA platform, the SNC-DH280 camera offers intelligent motion detection functions including object detection and the ability to set up a virtual borderline. This information is passed on either to the NSR Series recorder or the IMZ-RS400 Series software, where after analysis, a predetermined course of action such as activating an alarm or initiating image recording is triggered. By filtering out irrelevant material, DEPA technology significantly cuts down on network and storage requirements.
The SNC-DH280 camera can be powered from the network itself via an Ethernet cable without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. In addition, it can also be powered via 24 VAC or 12 VDC power supply.
