The Cambridge Audio BT100 Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver allows you to stream stereo audio from your smartphone, iPad, tablet, laptop, or other Bluetooth device to a sound system containing a supported Cambridge Audio component such as the DacMagic Plus Digital to Analog Converter, the Sonata NP30 Network Music Player, or the Stream Magic 6 Upsampling Network Music Player. No Wi-Fi network is required. The BT100 supports the Bluetooth A2DP profile, which allows for wireless transmission to an A2DP-compatible receiver.
Operation is simple: Connect your Bluetooth audio device to the supported Cambridge component via USB, and initiate the pairing process. Once the pairing is successful, you can disconnect the USB cable, and you won't have to repeat that process. Now your music-player is ready to wirelessly stream audio into your sound system from up to about 33 feet.
The BT100 supports the aptX codec, which provides lossless audio compression, allowing your music to stream without degradation of quality. If your device isn't aptX compatible, the BT100 will stream via the SBC (Standard Bluetooth Codec).
