Sky-Watcher 120mm Sky-Watcher Quantum Refractor Telescope

The 120mm Sky-Watcher Quantum Refractor Telescope from Celestron is high performance optical tube designed for advanced amateur astronomers and astrophotographers. Fully multicoated extra-low dispersion (ED) glass minimizes chromatic aberration and transmits bright images with impressive detail. Each optical surface is pitched polished and inspected, resulting in diffraction-limited optics that perform at the theoretical limits of the 120mm aperture. Six internal baffles and an included carbon fiber lens shade enhance image contrast and prevent stray light from degrading image quality.

This configuration of the Quantum series includes a 28mm fully multicoated eyepiece worthy of the brilliant optical quality of the tube assembly. The field flattener lens uses optical grade Schott glass and multiple coatings on all air-to-glass lens surfaces to deliver pin-sharp images with virtually no geometric distortion. This convenient lens easily threads onto the eyepiece barrel, is compatible with optional M48 camera adapter rings, and very useful for high quality astroimaging.

All metal tube rings and a CGE-style dovetail plate makes the Quantum optical tube ready for equatorial mounting. The carbon fiber optical housing is dent and scratch resistant in addition to delivering excellent thermal stability and reducing the weight of the optical tube. If the carbon fiber tube doesn't provide enough protection for your investment, the included aluminum hard shell case surely will by keeping the optics and included accessories safe from damage during transportation.
