I Was Haphazardly Looking For A Remote For My Olympus E-510 And Came Across This. The Price Made It Worth Taking A Chance. It Worked, And Works Great. Plus Finding Accessories For Older Cameras Is Not Easy.

Major quality control problems.

I've had two of these, neither of which worked. For both, the batteries tested good, but they wouldn't work with either an E-5 or an E-520 body. B&H took the first back (with pre-paid shipping) and sent a second. On the second, the battery compartment door wouldn't latch properly because of poorly-matched plastic parts, but holding it closed with a rubber band didn't help. B&H didn't want the second one back, and gave me store credit for the purchase price and shipping. Save youself some time, and buy the Olympus RM-1.

question

Is it compatible with Olympus omd em1 markii?
Asked by: Sheila B.
Sorry, the EM-1 is not compatible with this remote. However, I have good news for there is a better solution and it is free! All you do is download the OI. Share App (Olympus Image Share) and activate it from the camera and phone menu. Then you can:1. Load images in the camera to a smartphone2. Remotely operate the camera and shoot using a smartphone.3. Apply art filters and add stamps on images loaded to a smartphone.4. Add GPS tags to images simply by transferring the GPS log saved on thesmartphone to the camera
