The Strand Selecon PL3 LED Luminaire by Philips draws on decades of evolving technology to bring you a high output RGBW LED fixture with the incandescent equivalent of 1,000 - 1,200W. Color control was of paramount importance in the design of the PL3. Red, Blue and Green control offer infinite color choices within the 3,000 - 5,600K range. Fine-tuning is achieved via quickly access presets or custom color presets that record your color compositions.

The PL3's beam angle is also variable from 15 degree spot to 50 degree flood and controllable locally via a motorized zoom feature. And speaking of control, the PL3's easy-to-read on-board LCD menu gives you direct control of color balance and light intensity, as well as the standard and custom presets. An IR remote option allows you to do all of this wirelessly.

The PL3 is also DMX compatible, offering the opportunity to control several daisy-chained PL3s via their DMX in/out ports from a console with a choice of 8 or 16 bit resolution. Wireless DMX is also available with optional Wireless Solution W-DMX or Lumen Radio transmitters. The PL3's 25,000 hour lamp life makes it almost maintenance-free.

Advanced Control
The PL3 LED luminaire has an on-board LCD menu system for luminaire setup, control, and addressing. The menu system is extremely user-friendly and offers all configuration options with a few button presses.
Infrared Remote Control
PL3 stage and studio luminaires all feature support for a handheld infrared remote to control the luminaire when you want to focus your luminaire from the stage or studio floor. The remote provides direct control of color, intensity, beam angle and the optional pan and tilt motors. The remote can also access the three white presets (warm, cool, daylight) plus additional stored presets for use when the luminaire is used on location. All of these features can also be accessed from a lighting control console at the same time.
Wireless DMX512 Control
Working on location? Having trouble getting data to your light on set? All PL3 luminaires support wireless DMX512 control for instant connections without running control wiring. Each wireless receiver also has a DMX512 out port to control adjacent luminaires. Receivers are available for Wireless Solution W-DMX or Lumen Radio transmitters.
Console Control
With the increased development of LED luminaires like PL1 and PL3 with 4 or more colors, additional control is needed for intuitive operation. All Strand Lighting Palette family controls now support 8 or 16 bit extended color control and color temperature control to simplify programming and luminaire color matching.

PL3 LED Engine
The PL3's powerful LED engines offer exceptional performance and life. Under normal operating conditions our LED engine has a life expectancy in excess of 25,000 hours, however under the worst case operating conditions with the luminaire set to continuous full output it is possible that a small percentage of LEDs may require replacement sooner. The Philips Selecon three year limited warranty includes a guarantee against premature failure of the LED engine.
High Output

Infinite color choice from the three RGBW engines, supporting color temperatures from 3,000 - 5,600K
Variable Beam
Variable beam angle from a 15 degree spot to a 55 degree flood angle. Flood angle can be shaped using the optional four or eight door barndoor accessory.
Consistent Light
Homogenized fully mixed "white" light, no multiple color shadows. Constant color balance is maintained down to very low light levels irrespective of intensity setting.
Intuitive Presets
Quick selection of Warm White, Cool White, and Daylight color presets simplifies matching existing light sources, while user-defined on-board presets are available to record your color composition.
Zoom
Motorized zoom adjusts beam angle locally or by optional remote control.
Optional Pan and Tilt Kit
An optional remote focusing pan / tilt motorized accessory kit is a cost effective solution for remote repositioning of the beam. The optional remote for pan and tilt also controls color and intensity.
No UV
No ultra-violet (wavelengths of less than 400 nm) - for UVA, B or C or the Infrared spectrum (wavelengths of more than 775 nm).
