The ACTi 8-Cam 1.3 MP 4.2mm Outdoor Kit with 8-Ch Network System / 2TB SATA / and PoE Switch from B&H centers around eight outdoor bullet cameras, each with an Aptina 1/3", 1.3 megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor that captures crisp 1280 x 1024 images at 18 fps. Integrated into each camera is a 4.2mm fixed lens and a string of infrared LEDs. By way of the LEDs, in totally dark environments the cameras can capture black and white images as opposed to capturing total darkness. In normal conditions, the cameras produce good color rendition in up to .5 lux.

The SATA drive comes in a standard 3.5" form factor for installation into desktop computers and features technology geared to achieve reduced power consumption along with cool and quiet operation. The PoE switch has full duplex ports that enable simultaneous data transfer, consistently without wait and thus quicker, at 7, 15.4, and 30 watts of power.
