Owners of the Vanguard line of Supreme hard cases will appreciate the black Supreme Divider Insert 53 from Vanguard. This insert may be used as a replacement for cases that came with foam, or as an extra insert to store a second camera system or other gear, for cases that came with one of these inserts. Your Supreme padded insert can hold two DSLR cameras with attached lens, eight extra lenses, flash unit, and accessories. Padded and adjustable, touch-fastening dividers are used for protecting and organizing your photo equipment, while a zippered, clear mesh pocket under the lid is useful for storing accessories such as filters. A versatile insert, it features a padded top handle and zipper closure.

If the 53 is fully loaded with lenses and other gear (heavy!), will it hold its shape when picked up and carried by the handle?
Asked by: Peter
When using the Vanguard Supreme Divider Insert 53, it is not a good idea to fill the divider and attempt to carry the equipment around with no additional support. This Insert 53 is an "insert", to be used in a "hard" case, it is not designed to be carried using the handle like a "hard" case. One should only fill the insert when it is in the "hard" case.

what is the different between the four models: 37f 40f 46f 53f?
Asked by: an
When you click on each model, it tells you how many cameras and lenses each can hold. That is the difference between all-capacity.37F= 2DSLR + 4 Lenses40F= 2DSLR + 6 Lenses 46F= 2DSLR + 7 Lenses53F= 2DSLR + 8 LensesI have the 53F and can comfy fit my Nikon D750 with a Nikkor 24-120mm on, a Nikon Seeedlight SB-700 with a MagMod adapter on, a Macro 90mm, a 50mm, a 8mm, a 55-200mm and 2 MagMod diffusers plus on the lid compartment I have batteries and a kit to clean the lenses. It is well made and can carry it, place on a dolly or insert on a carry on bag for extra cushion.

question

ARE THE EXTERIOR SIDEWALLS SOFT OR FIRM OR RIGID ON THE VANGUARD SUPREME BAG 53 AND 46?
Asked by: Lloyd F.
I bought Bag 53. The exterior walls are firm (they are supported by extra thick foam padding on the inside of the case). The outside feels soft when you run your fingers over it but it is very durable and should hold up well to support all your cameras and lenses.

question

Are the dividers long enough to use them the long way, i.e. left to right instead of up and down? I'd like to put my 16.5 scope in it but I would have to have the dividers running the other way.
Asked by: Tara
I have a smaller version of this case, but the answer is the same. While the longer dividers will not individually reach across the long side of the case, you could stick two of them together and they would easily traverse that distance (with substantial overlap). In fact, you could go corner to corner. All surfaces of the case interior (other than the lid ) are covered in Velcro-style loop fabric, and the Velcro-style hook material is sewn onto each end of each divider. So the dividers will stick anywhere, including to each other.
