This Keyhole Hands-Free Camera Harness in black from Back Country Solutions offers you a way to hike, bike, ski, or snowshoe while holding your camera safe and steady against your body. The harness is unique in design since it provides a way to prevent the swing that usually happens when a camera is attached to a typical backpack or chest harness straps. With traditional harnesses you find yourself trying to hold your camera steady while using trekking poles. Or if you're scrambling up a hill, your camera bounces any which way while you're trying to grab a rock to make it to the next ledge.

question
What would I need to use this without a pack?
I don't think you really could. You'd still need some sort of chest harness (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/847231-REG/Think_Tank_886_Digital_Holster_Harness_V2_0.html)

question
How well would this work on a woman with a larger chest, say 'C' ish and up? All the models I see with it are rather flat across the chest.
It would depend on he camera and lens. A large, heavy camera with a heavy lens (telephoto) would probably take some getting used to, but I do not think it would be a real problem.

question
I don't understand how this attaches to my backpack. The description says: The buckles come with four male connectors that mesh with the female connectors found on your backpack's straps. My Osprey Manta backpack does not have these female connectors. So does that mean I cannot use this with my pack?
Sorry for the delay, I bought this for my son and I asked him about it, and he claims it works just fine. Now he uses his harness on a mid-size Gregory backpack, I don't know how different the back packs are, but if you have a problem attaching it I would contact the manufacturer of the harness or Osprey, good luck!

question
Do I need to buy any additional camera screw so I can attach my camera?
No, the harness comes with the camera screw. You may want to buy an additional one as I often forget to take it off one camera and put it on the other. I have also had to repair the screw a few times with glue but I am very hard on it.

question
The description states: Reduces Camera weight on neck. How much, considering the weight of Canon 5D M II with 24-105 L ?
If your lenses is not too heavy, you can see a well reduction of weight on your neck and you can use your hands for another pourpose if you are walking or doing some activity. I use it when i go to the mountain to practice haking

question
The swivel clip accessory that pops up for $19.99 - can that be used with this harness or is it for use with a neck strap?
From the picture, looks as though the swivel clip accessory can also be used on the harness strap. As an avid backpacker, I use the backpack mount which works extremely well. Enjoy! strap.

question
This product looks like exactly what I need to take the weight off my neck and keep the camera from swinging while I walk. But is it possible to use this harness and a tripod? Is there anyway to make it compatible?
I have used it hiking in the desert for 2 years with great success attaching it to my back pack. However to use with a tripod you would have to unscrew the red keyhole knob at the base of your camera and replace with your normal tripod quick mounting plate. No tool is required to remove the red keyhole knob just your fingers. It definitely solved my neck strain problem when hiking in the mountains so I definitely recommend it.Bill P.
