The 8mm f/2.8 Ultra Compact Fisheye Lens for Samsung NX Mount by Bower is a fast, ultra wide angle compact lens designed for use on the Samsung NX mirrorless cameras. Multi-coated lenses equal minimal aberration and sharp images and a built-in petal-type lens hood prevents unwanted glare. The minimum focusing distance is 1' (0.3m) and the angle of view is 180º, offering full-frame (non-circular) images. Nice on older nx cameras.
Be warned this lens was designed for older nx cameras like the nx100. On the newer 20mp cameras it is practically unusable as it has horrid magenta fringing. It is however sharp edge to edge on all models and good for the price if you have an nx10 or nx100.

great lens. Complement with NX lineup
- true 180d FOV. - Manual focus is fine for 8mm. i just set it around 3-4ft and everything is in focus from 2ft-infinity even at f2.8 - Very compact, just a little larger than the stock 20-50 NX lens. looks great on NX camera not too bulky, great for travel. - f2.8 very usable.sharpen up nicely f4 to f8 - maybe sharper than tokina 10-17 fisheye zoom - Down side: incompatible with samsung NX video mode (this is perhaps a problem of the camera, not the lens)

A great little lens for a great price!
I bought this lens while I still could, since the Samsung NX cameras are now history. It performs great and it is very compact in size. The only criticism that I have of this lens, is that I wish that it would focus a little closer, but in most cases, this is not all that important. If you are looking for a compact and high performing fish-eye lens at a very reasonable price, this is your baby!

A nice bit to complement NX lenses
Just got one, thanks to B&H. Made in Korea. The box, lens, and cap has Bower brand and comes with a pleather lens pouch. The lens manual is Samyang. Very nice design, metal body all around with molded plastic leaf hood & lens cap that attached to the hood by a detent clip. This lens looks right at home with my stack of samsung NX pancakes and complement the range very nicely. It is about the size of the NX20-50 stock zoom,so it is very compact. Being an f2.8 fish eye, this thing is chock full of solid glass elements and surprisingly weighty for the tiny size. It's not heavy, just dense enough that screams: i'm a high quality solid piece of glass, respect me please!!Focus ring is stiffly damped, but i think it will loosen up with age. 6 blades apperture. f2.8 - 22 with 1/2 stop clicks. At 180 AoV coverage (i checked, it is really 180 degree corner to corner), there is no way to put any kind of filter on the lens. The lens is reasonably good at 2.8 and at f8 it is wicked sharp for a fish eye.If you are worried about manual focus, fear not. I set the focus ring to around 4ft and just leave it there. Everything will be in focus from 2.1ft to infinity even at f2.8 aperture thanks to the ultra short focal range of 8mm. Highly recommended, gorgeous design, and an excellent value.
