Is this a connector only for guitar and not for amp output?

Hi, This is mono, unbalanced, 1/4 TR connector with automatic switching.I use it for guitar to eliminate the loud sound in speakers at time of connection/disconnection of guitar.If your amp has unbalanced mono 1/4 TR output it will match.But usually amplifiers comes with SpeakON or XLR or just direct two-wires connectors.It depends from particular amplifier.If you know which amp you have or wish to purchase, just check it's specs in internet.Best regards
