The black Really Right Stuff (RRS) PG Gimbal Pouch from LensCoat will accommodate most Really Right Stuff Pano-Gimbal configurations. Since Gimbals can be expensive and delicate, each component is stored in its own, separate neoprene storage area featuring touch fastened closure. The neoprene pouch contains an additional pocket for the small tools you'll always need such as optional Allen wrenches and LensCoat Bubble Level.

The pouch comes with an additional water-resistant nylon tote pouch with heavy-duty web handle to make transport easy. It secures using an easy to use drawstring. The pouch also contains three extra D-rings so you can add straps, clips or other accessories.

Good Fit, Large and Bulky

As other reviewers have said, the pouch is rather large and bulky. The velcro fasteners are thin and on the very edges of the closure and don't hold very well. I can't see carrying this into the field, it is best used to store the unit on the way to it. With a backpack or camera bag and the tripod it would be yard sale time. The RRS storage box that comes with the unit is more compact and will independently hold the nodal slide and additional clamps. With this unit one has to use one or two pouches for multiple parts, and independently wrap them to prevent damage. If there is room in the backpack, it is best to just store the parts there in the field.

Really Perfect for Really Right Stuff PanoGimbal

The RRS PanoGimbal is a jewel like precision work of art. This pouch is the perfect jewel bag. The cloth reminds me of the material used to make diving wet suits. It stretches and hugs each piece of the PG, cushioning and protecting each part from damage. There is a perfectly sized pocket for each part of the PG assembly. It all rolls up and fits inside an strong nylon outer bag that closes with a draw string. This bag is somewhat expensive, but well worth the price of admission.

Which pouch would be better for the RRS PG-01, the PG gimbal pouch or the CB gimbal pouch?

I have the PG-02 with this PG gimbal pouch and it works great. I do not know if the CB gimbal pouch will fit the PG-01 but I do know that the PG pouch will have plenty of room for additional Quick connect plates or other accessories should you need it in the future. Hope this helps, I love my RRS and LensCoat products.
