The Sony HDR-AX2000 Wedding Kit with Mics / Batteries / Light / SD Cards / and More from B&H is a compact prosumer HD solution for efficiently shooting weddings from start to finish.
The kit's camera is Sony's HDR-AX2000, which features a 20x 'G' lens and which can shoot in both HD and SD, recording either of the two in AVCHD or MPEG-2 formats, and saving onto your choice of the SDHC cards that come included with the kit or onto optional memory sticks. And everything recorded very simply offloads to a computer by USB interface. HD capture in particular is at 1920 x 1080 at 24 or 30 progressive frames. The camera captures with three 1/3" CMOS sensors that successfully combine high-sensitivity with low noise to deliver bright and detailed images. Very useful in the AX2000, especially so for shooting weddings run-and-gun, are three control rings around the lens and four built-in filters. The rings adjust iris, focus and zoom, and the filters will let you switch up the look of your footage according to your tastes and as well according to the lighting changes at the party.
A Rode condenser shotgun mic and a Sony wireless lavalier system make up the kit's sound capture tools and, with the inclusion of a wind-diffusion Windbuster, serve as a complete sound capture solution. The Rode performs both indoors and outdoors and does so with great intelligibility and signal-to-noise ratio in noisy environments; and the Sony system is mic and line switchable and features space-diversity technology that selects the strongest incoming signal to stabilize reception and to minimize RF interference.
The kit is complete with a 200W-equivalent on-camera LED light, two lithium-ion batteries and chargers, an XLR audio cable, and a camera travel case outfitted with many pockets that you can conveniently stuff your accessories into.
