Rated 5 out of 5 by from On the level I will try my level best to provide a level-headed assessment of the LP-76 Leveling Plate by Sunwayfoto. Purchased with the intent to improve the level of my videography, I installed the bubble level on my Manfrotto tripod directly underneath my two-way pan and tilt head. The bubble level provides a clear confirmation that my tripod is level regardless of the position of my pan and tilt head. I'm very pleased with the construction of the bubble level. The aluminum construction is much stiffer than it appears in pictures. It installed easily and securely. To level with you, I recommend the use of this level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sunway LP-76 Leveling Plate My tripod has a bubble level on the spider, but this level indicator is twice the size, which makes it easier far easier to read when your hands are on the tripod legs. I typically have this level pointed 180 degrees away from the level built into the tripod, so I can read from any direction. Be aware that some heads may have large knobs that dip below the horizon, so to speak, which would cause their range of motion to be impeded by the plate. This unit is ideal for ball heads and tilt headds. I bought three of them, one each for my light tripod, my heavy tripod, and my monopod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, light weight and inexpensive! I needed a lightweight small means of leveling my tripod head that did not take up much space or weigh much in my pack and this fits the bill very well. It is easy to use fits perfectly between the tripod and the head. It comes with a small soft bag for storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leveling base for Jobu Gimbal head I bought this to build a leveling base for my Gitzo GT4552GTS tripod. I use it together with a Manfrotto 520BALLSH 75mm and a Gitzo 75mm bowl head adaptor to level my Jobu Design Pro2 Gimbal head. The setup is very stable and robust. The leveling setup builds less than the Gitzo leveling base, but the tilt is a bit limited. I drilled 3 holes in the Leveling plate to be able to secure the 3 safety screws in the Manfrotto Ball directly to the gimbal head.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay for $ Not much to comment about a $ plate of aluminum with a spirit level. It works fine with my Gitzo and Z1. However, the plate is not completely level, so when I screw in the ballhead it scraps on one side rather unpleasantly. Not a deal breaker, although I should have spent $ more and just gotten the leveling head.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick upgrade for a tripod Perfect to adding a level to a tripod that does not have one on its base. Added to a large tripod I have and it fit great. Simple to install between the tripod and tripod head. It is all metal and very ridged. The diameter is 3 and the level portion protruds almost another inch. So depending on the size of your tripod it could extend beyond the side of a folded tripod and be susceptible to damage if dropped or something heavy placed on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little add on for my MeFOTO Tripod After I got my MeFOTO RoadTrip Aluminum Travel Tripod Kit I realized the level was on the ball head (not much use for leveling the base for panning) not the tripod base. this little LP-76 Leveling Plate was the perfect solution. Drops right on under the ballhead and is far enough out to see below the camera! Much cheaper than buying a new tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised Given my bad experiences with Sunwayfoto's inaccurate bubble levels, I was sure that I would be returning this item and looking elsewhere for another brand. But the bubble level is accurate enough to be useful. It should work fine on a monopod too. Recommended, but be sure to check the bubble level before use.
