question
Could this keep my gear warm while skiing?
Yes it does and it will do the job you want it to for skiing. However, there are other backpacks that would be better suited for you in regards to skiing. I have noticed with this bag that its a bit bulky so getting on and off chairlifts can be anoying because you have to take off and put on the back pack everytime ou get to a lift. Also, it can be a bit difficult to ski with at times, I noticed this more if I didn't have the strap size right, but it doesn't have a waist strap so it has a tendency to bounce a little more. Also every time you want to get your camera out of the bag you have to take it off and lay it in the snow which can be annoying.Overall this is a good backpack and it will do the job you want it to. However, there are other back packs that would be better suited for you, especially if you wanted one specifically for skiing. Id recommend a sling bag or one that has a wait and chest strap, and can be easily accessible and wont get in your way skiing.
