Can I use D-tap power feed from my camera?
Asked by: Tempei
This light is powered by Sony L-Series style batteries. You could use the IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to L-Series Dummy Battery Power Converter Cable to power this light through a D-Tap power connection, B&H # INPTS74. https://bhpho.to/2FUnumz

question

Just wondering if the Genaray LED On Camera Lights have a Green Tint to them? I know back in the day they would give you a magenta filter to correct. Also, Which one of these light do anyone prefer? 7100T; 6200T; 5700T? I see that the 5700T and 6200T are the same price...and yet 5700T has 240 led's and the 6200T only has 144 led's. It looks like the 5700T is stronger then the 6200T and yet is the same price! Anyone know the difference between them both? I do like the fact that the 5700T can use AA batteries...Thank you in Advance.

The LED-5700T 240 LED has 240 LEDs that deliver up to 1100 lux brightness at 3 ft. The LED-6200T 144 LEDs that deliver up to 640 lux brightness at 3 ft. The LED-7100T 312 LEDs that deliver up to 1400 lux brightness at 3 ft.We do nt know of a Magenta issue. Pick based on cost and battery. The AA's are light and affordable while the Sony L 's are heavier but last all day.

question

The specs say 1100 Lux at 3'.....is that having both Daylight and Tungsten powered up? What is the Lux for 5600 and then for 3200 at 3'? Also, what is the CRI rating? And a final question..does this light give off a Green tint? Thank you...
Asked by: Anonymous
I own the 6200T so I can't answer your questions specifically but I do believe with less bulbs the 6200 is kicking out about 640 lux at 3ft at 5600k full brightness. I can also say I've very pleased with results... no green cast... and the colour control, with detachable diffuser, which is a major plus for creatively matching ambient lighting. The build is also excellent with the exception of the ball head-shoemount, which is plastic, fussy and unstable when adjusting. Of all the lights I reviewed in the $120 price bracket (on sale at the time) the 6200T was by far the most attractive, complete with a bagged kit of accessories. I have very successfully used the 6200T for key light product shots, accent lighting and, with many benefits, beauty and fashion portraits. Add a small Gorilla Pod, fashion some home-made barn doors and trip the lights fantastic!

question

Can this video light be used for off camera photography?
Asked by: Amber R.
I shoot video for a local wedding photographer. He's constantly using my light to help in darker venues. The light doesn't substitute for a proper flash, but it sure does does make focusing a LOT easier.

question

Is there a suitable AC adapter for this unit?
Asked by: Scott H.
This light has a plate for Sony L batteries, you may be able to use Sony's AC Adapter and Twin Charger for that kind of battery. It is B&H #SOACVQ1051D and it offers a Sony L Dummy Battery for AC power. However you may find it simpler to use an NP-F battery itself, the 770 model should give you a good amount of time and not weigh the light down too much. We offer it in a kit with a basic wall charger, B&H #WANPF770CK.

question

I'm planning on using this light with a 11-16MM wide angle lens, how much of a drop off of light on the outer edges ?
Asked by: Michael
You should not see that much of a drop off with this light, it is pretty wide. However Genaray makes a LED that may be a better fit for your needs. The LED 7500T is also Variable-Color and configured in an even wider format, this is a better choice for a wider lenses.

question

how long will it light on batteries?
Asked by: Robin
I run it on the AA's. And it last at least a month turning on and off for durations of 2 to 5 mins at a time. I am sure it would last longer with the rechargeable ones
