I can't speak to Canon flashes. I do not know regarding strobe. Regarding strobe, decide what light system you want and see if there is an adapter for it and this softbox.

Here's how to put it all together: First, the Raya RAS-I Reflector Adapter for Speedlights (B&H# RARASI) is secured to the 5/8" pin (sometimes called "spigot" or "baby pin") on top of a typical light stand.
