Roland DP90 Overview

The medium cherry DP90 88-Key Digital Piano and Matching Bench from Roland plays like a grand and fits easily into any room. Its SuperNATURAL Piano engine delivers realistic and responsive sound. The DP90 features an Ivory Feel-S keyboard with Escapement, providing natural touch and response. In addition to audio output connections, the onboard speaker system generates dynamic, resonant sound.

The DP90's SuperNATURAL Piano engine boasts tonal color that changes seamlessly in response to your touch, and note decay that is natural and organic. A decaying sound not only decreases in volume, but also gradually changes color to a softer tone. The Soundboard Behavior function emulates the natural characteristics of string vibrations on the soundboard, which are not heard on most sampling pianos. This technology enhances clarity, even when many notes are played simultaneously.

The Ivory Feel-S Keyboard with Escapement offers a response authentic to your playing, capable of transforming subtle finger nuances into sound. It also provides incredibly fast key-repetition action. The keys are constructed of a one-piece proprietary material that provides excellent moisture absorbency and a similar feel to ivory and ebony.

Classical Sounds from the Early Piano Bank
Beyond grand piano sounds, the DP90 is equipped with an Early Piano category that contains four fortepiano variations and two harpsichord variations. You can even play these early piano sounds with built-in historic temperaments, which are ideal for performance with other classical instruments.
Built-In Recorder
The built-in recorder lets you capture your performances as audio or MIDI data. You can evaluate your playing and/or document your writing. The DP90 also allows you to transpose, tempo change, and center cancel your recordings. Recorded audio can be saved onto external USB Memory and copied to a computer.
LCD Display
The simple and intuitive control panel affords quick access to the numerous features onboard. Its backlit LCD and clean front panel provide easy visibility, even in dark environments.
Energy Saving Features
The DP90 achieves low power consumption with features like Auto Off which, when activated, automatically switches the power off after periods of inactivity. Inactivity time is selectable from 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 240 minutes or it can be disengaged.
