Is there a way to add phantom power device to use ...
Is there a way to add phantom power device to use my audio Technica shotgun mic that I used to use with a DAT recorder that had phantom power, but now all my cables do not work with 1/8in cameras or devices. Thanks for any advice?
A device such as the Denecke PS-1A Portable Single Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply (BH #DEPS1A) could be used in between a phantom-powered shotgun microphone and the Kopul LMT100 Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer for proper connection to 3.5mm camera inputs: https://bhpho.to/3rPrNa4

question
I got this cable with the Senn 600 and when plugged into my Canon 80D it only registers on the LEFT channel, is this because of the cable or because the Senn is a mono mic? Do I need to do something else to have it record bother left and right channels, there are no options on the 80D for that, thanks.
The LMT-100 is specifically designed for connection of a mono mic to a camera. Audio should be present on both sides using this cable and should have no issues with the Sennheiser or similar mics. We do however generally recommend the Sennheiser brand cable (KA-600). https://bhpho.to/2gPQ0Wn Please contact a Representative here for additional assistance at 800-606-6969.

question
Will a whole chain become unbalanced if I use this transformer in the end of line? For instants, Shotgun mic > 25' of xlr balanced cable > this Kopul transformer > regular 3.5 mini Jack input in DLSR. Or unbalanced will be only this short adapter cable in the end?
Everything up to the transformer will remain balanced.

If a device supports sending phantom power out of its 3.5mm mic input, will this adapter/transformer pass the phantom power up the XLR cable to the mic?
We could not guarantee that 48v phantom power would pass properly through this type of adapter if being used with a balanced 3.5mm jack with phantom power output.

question
Can I use this:Kopul LMT100 - Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer (1.5') to hook a microphone up to use with my iPhone6?
I bet so, I plugged this right into a dslr from my NTG2 and it worked like a charm!

question
can you recommend a longer cable to work with this adapter?
Since this is an impedance matching transformer, it would be recommended to use an XLR cable of the length of your choice to connect to the XLR female side in order to extend.

Will this work on a Sennheiser shotgun mic?
Will this work on a Sennheiser shotgun mic?
Yes but the Sennheiser KA-600 BH #SEKA600 tends to be more popular for that.

question
Is this really a transformer, or a simple adapter. If a transformer, what is the ratio?
I'm pretty sure it's more than an adapter. I was told that in order to successfully capture non wireless audio externally using a DSLR camera I would need this transformer. No idea about any ratios I only know it works.
