This windscreen is meant to be used with a Sennheiser ME2 lapel mic, which could have come with a G2 series wireless system.

It isn't a very tight metal to metal fit. You have to work to get them to come apart and they do a really good job of helping keeping a fuzzy wind sock from coming off as well. Good piece of equipment
