how do i change the black ink cartridge?
Turn on and later turn off the Canon printer.Open the compartment where's there's colored and black cartridge .Follow the instructions as shown in the attached. Pull it down and then open the cartridge house. Change the black cartridge .Follow the attached instructions.

How many pages does this cartridge print relative to the 240XL and 240XXL cartridges (which are labeled to print approximately 300 and 600 pages, respectively, while this one gives no indication)? Obviously the exact number will vary based on printer, but what is the relative volume of ink in the cartridges?
I use the 240 cartridge in my the Canon MX452. Since I do very little printing, it lasts a very long time - like a year or more. And by the time I need to replace it, I've completely lost all track of the number of pages it printed.But according to Canon's website the pages for each are:240---...180 pages240XL...300 pages240XXL.600 pages
