Hiking, travel, sightseeing, birding, hunting, museums, concerts, sporting events – the Brunton 8x22 Lite-Tech Monocular will come in handy in so many situations, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it. It's a versatile optic that offers 8x magnification for looking at distant objects, yet can focus as close as 10 feet away. The image is bright and sharp, thanks to its BAK4 prism glass and multi-coated lenses, which maximize light transmission. Eyeglass wearers can fold down the rubber eyecup in order to take in the full field of view. The pocket-sized Lite-Tech weighs just 2.9 ounces and comes with a wrist lanyard and carrying case.

    8x22 Lite-Tech Monocular is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lousy I am very surprised at what a bad monocular this is -- especially from a known brand name and at this price point. I'm open to the possibility I just got a defective unit, but I don't think so -- I think it's just bad design and bad optics. The view I get through this monocular is closer to what I'd expect from a child's plastic binocular from a toy store, rather than a quality optic. Color shift is very poor, resulting in a smeary effect, and there is heavy peripheral distortion around all but the tiniest center of the view. Overall, it's very difficult to focus and clarity is basically nonexistent. It does have good, bright light transmission and the unit is compact and lightweight. That's about all that's good I can say about it. And it's not just a get-what-you-pay-for issue either. At the same time, I bought the Bushnell 10x25 Powerview Compact Binocular that is perfectly acceptable that was less than half the price of this monocular. Bottom line: I wouldn't carry/use this monocular if it was free. I strongly recommend against this unit. The one I have goes back tomorrow.
