Key Features
- 1.8 Optical Density
- Water White Glass Filter
- ColorCore Technology
- Requires 6-Stop Exposure Increase
This 4 x 5.65" Tiffen Water White ND Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 6-stop exposure reduction. This 1.8 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you are able to control the depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

question
Hi thereI'd like to know if there is any difference between this ND filter and the one (please see the link).Thankshttp://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/86020-REG/Tiffen_45650ND9_4_x_5_65_Neutral.html
The difference between the two filters is that theTIND.9W45P filter (the more expensive of the two) is made with Tiffens Water White Glass. This will make the filter less likely to give a color cast to the image.

question
Why in the world would you use this awful simulated image?
If you don't understand what the picture is showing, then you are not qualified to use this product. ND filters are used to reduce the amount of light entering the camera so that you can drag or slow down the shutter creating a soft water affect. This filter is also used in other special effect situations for video. I have worked on film productions for some of the largest production companies in the world and this is my go to filter.
