    Impact FF-S1 reviews

Single Socket Fluorescent Fixture is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixture for LED lights I got this so I could put an LED flood light bulb into my Impact soft box (different from the kit that this comes with) with a speed ring. Works great! Pros: cost on a budget and you get your money’s worth. Cons: Plastic! The body and holder is made plastic. It could hold the kit soft box but nothing else. I was able to take off the adjustment base and mount it into a speed ring with a soft box. For the price I bought 3 more. Not bad for a budget light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-purpose light I am using this with a 100W CFL and softbox. This provides a nice constant light source for products and times when constant lighting (at higher iso) is required or beneficial. The light base was sturdy, well designed and was very easy to add to my softboxes (which were designed for flash or strobes.) The power switch is nice, and for this wattage, I've not yet found any need to turn down the light so there no need for a power limiting switch. This and the 100W CFL provide an inexpensive method of utilizing my existing lighting setup with constant source lights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes Does what it's supposed to do, but angle hinge doesn't tighten that tightly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality lamp socket I was looking for a quality lamp socket for continuous lighting and chose these. I am very pleased. They are well constructed and have a quality feel. There is no clamp down knob for the umbrella which I thought would be an issue but the spring tension is just enough to hold them securely. I bought the companion 50x50 cm soft box and it works very well with this socket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the trick Great budget fixture. Pretty solid construction and can rotate at pretty much any angle you'd ever need. I use two, both holding Eiko 105W fluorescent bulbs. Ran these continuous for over two hours and no issues with fixtures(no heat issues either). The hole for the umbrella is small and JUST fit my Opus umbrella but that's probably ideal. The light switch is very convenient. It delivers what it claims.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor man's Kino I was surprised with the quality of such a cheap light kit. They set up quickly and easily. You have to give the lights a minute to warm up but they don't get crazy hot like a halogen would.
