Anyone used this with a small action cam mounted ...

Anyone used this with a small action cam mounted on a moving car? Wondering how much video shake I would get. (Arm will be aligned vertically, not laterally.)
Asked by: Scott
As the arm would likely add vibration to the camera, we would recommend the GoPro Suction Cup Mount for best results, but in either case, you would likely need to use in camera stabilization or to stabilize the footage in editing. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999131-REG/gopro_aucmt_302_suction_cup_mount.html

question

Does the gooseneck unscrew from the clamp? It appears that it might. I only need the gooseneck but it has to have a 1/4 -20 male on one end and a 1/4 -20 female on the other.
Asked by: Timothy
It does unscrew from the clamp, but it has two male ends.

question

How tightly would this grip the crossbar of Something like a Ronin-M? Id like to attach a monitor or Atomos Shogun and be able to quickly/easily adjust its viewing angle. Will it stay firmly attached and not slip?
Asked by: Jon
It's a very tight grip but it all comes down to weight. If the object is too heavy it will make the crossbar sag.

question

Can you pan with this without affecting up and down position?
Asked by: James
No you can't pan. And if you try, it will not be smooth at all. I use it for mounting my go pro pretty much anywhere. With an adapter and you can clamp your go pro.

question

does the clamp open enough to grab a door?
Asked by: Anonymous
The short answer is no ... the clamp has a quite tight action to allow use on relatively small thickness/diameter objects. If you did manage to open clamp far enough you may just manage it- but be careful of scuffing and minor damage when you remove!
