The Dinkum Systems Additional Links 3/4" (5 Segments) lengthens the arm of any Dinkum Systems mount and lens shade with the exception of the COMPACT lens shade for DSLRs and small video cameras. Five links are included, each one 1" long (2.5 cm). They combine to 3.75" (9.5 cm) in length.
Won't attach to basic system.
I ordered this extension for my Actionpod Pro to give me a little more flexibility for different uses. Like many reviewers I found that adding the extension was extremely difficult as the the last female link on the extension just would not snap in place no matter how hard I tried. After wrestling with it for a few days I decided to remove that link to see if the one next to it would be a better fit and Voila! My theory is that the last link on the extension is probably shipped from the manufacturer having never been connected making it more difficult if not impossible to connect. After removing it, the extension functions albeit missing one of the links. This worked for me. Hope this helps others who may have experienced the same. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with Dinkum systems products. They are an invaluable tool in Photo/Video production.
