A very solid, well made aftermarket adapter. All of my old Takumars function perfectly on my Fujifilm xPro 1. When mounted, all lenses orient properly with the focus and aperture reference directly on top. All lenses focus correctly at infinity. The German engineering makes it well worth the extra cost.

Very good adapter, almost worth the high cost. I say almost because these are extremely pricey. However, I've bought others that either didn't work or required major modification to work correctly with some M42 lenses. This one works out of the box with 95% of my lenses. The only exception is the Auto-Takumar 55mm f/1.8. The stop-down pin on this lens hits the phlange and won't completely screw into the adapter. The Takumar 50mm f/1.4 mounts beautifully. The Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135 f/3.5 focuses past infinity on this adapter, and several of my lenses don't line up exactly, particularly the Carl Zeiss Jena lenses. Still, it's built like a tank and will last forever. All in all a good adapter and you won't waste time messing with it to get it to work like some other adapters.

Hi, if it doesn't focus to infinity can it be refund for a full refund? Also if the aperture and distance scales on the lens don't line up (face up on top of lens, for easy viewing, like it would on native camera mount), can it also be returned for a full refund? It looks like it would be OK under the return policy but want to make sure. Thanks

Will this adapter work with a Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4 lens from a Pentax Spotmatic F (full aperture metering)? This lens has the aperture stop down plunger next to the M42 screw mount.

The lens will attach and focus to infinity. However, there is no direct communication between the lens and camera so automatic stop down metering and exposrue is not possible. You will be able to use automatic exposure metering in aperture priority and stop-down metering is possible.
