Is this adapter compatible with the original Voightlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 lens? I only see II and III versions in the compatibility list. If yes, will I be able to shoot in aperture priority mode?

There is a good chance the Novoflex Adapter for Leica M Mount Lenses to Fujifilm X Mount Digital Cameras will work with the Voightlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 lens for M mount version one. Note the manufacture does list it.

Does this adapter maintains Leica M mount flange ...

Does this adapter maintains Leica M mount flange distance exactly? So that I can use the distance scale to focus. The one I have now is K&F Concept adapter, and the distance scale is way, way off on Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 lens..

There is no greater quality control than Novoflex. You should have the infinity on the mark as expected. You also should have the same with the K&F adapter. I would recommend contacting them for service.

Do any of the M convertors / adaptors for the Fuji X-T1 permit me to use fast Leica lenses - 24mm Lux, 35mm Lux 0.95 Nocti etc? Fuji's own does not seem to do so.Many thanksAndrew Hardacre

Thanks for your question and I apologize for the delay as I did a little digging.Flange focal distance (FFD) of a lens mount system is the distance from the mounting flange (the metal ring on the camera and the rear of the lens) to the film or sensor surface plane. For the Leica M system, this distance is 27.8mms (Distance from Lens to Sensor). Fuji has a compatibility chart on their web site: http://bhpho.to/QQIqy8 To address your question, we tested the 50mm f/0.95 Noctilux-M & 24mm f/1.4 Summilux-M and they do not maintain infinity focus. The original version of the 35mm f/.4 M (1961) lens had goggles and Fuji says will not work. New and current versions per their list are supported.One of the appeals of mirrorless cameras has been their relatively short FFD making the use of adapters possible to use lenses from other systems. While it may sound simple, there are limitations, restrictions and details to consider. An adapter adds the space to extend a cameras FFD to match that of the lens you want to use. The first concern is the manufacturing tolerances of a given adapter. How exact is the adapter machined to is the first concern, if not exact you will lose infinity focus and if not uniform, focus across the frame will shift. The lens mount is another matter, Ive found adapters fit tightly onto a lens and body and Ive had lenses fall off due to not locking in place properly. Again here its the manufacturing. Another issue especially with Leica lenses is the flange that protrudes out past the rear element. Our Fuji rep confirmed this flange on some lenses will interfere with the adapter and camera body interior. Metabones told us for R lenses, the flange has to be no longer then 11mms (rear lens mount to tip of flange).Many adapter manufacturers caution the use of collapsible lenses as you may damage the sensor if closing the lens while mounted. I have a 90mm collapsible Elmar that I had to remember not shorten while using it on an NEX7 last summer. Some wide angle lenses have rear elements that stick out past the lens mount.One trend weve seen is the adapters are being made slightly shorter which ensures infinity focus but loses some of the close focusing range and make the lenses distance scale unreliable.Having been using older legacy lenses on digital cameras for some time now, the take away is when it works the results are excellent, but there are many hurdles to overcome. The biggest issue I have found is achieving accurate focus; DSLR focusing screens are not manual focusing friendly and peak focusing can be challenging especially at wide open apertures and in low light levels. YMMV
