The Neutrik NP2X-B Professional 1/4" Phone Plug sports a thin A-gauge 1/4" plug with a chuck-type strain relief. Its slimline shell features a width of 0.57” (14.5mm), and its one-piece tip contact— constructed without rivets—helps avoid common connection problems, such as hooking up in a socket or breaking off the tip.

can you use this for music?

Yes but this is a mono plug not a stereo plug. So if your source is 2 mono plus to make a stereo pair then this will work perfect. Or you can use this for a guitar or keyboard or bass or any instrument.
