Rean NYS228 Reviews
great product, does the job

I purchased several sets of these TRS plugs to shorten some lengthy balanced (TRS) cables to a more manageable length. The plugs are easy to work with and solder well. My first set had an insulating paper barrier of some kind between the Sleeve and the Ring (in the soldering area), but the second set didn't have those. No worries; I was able to use shrink wrap tubing to insulate those contact points just-in-case (call me belt-and-suspenders!). Highly recommended and haven't had a plug fail yet (in years of plugging and recabling).
Great connectors

These are nice low profile design, easily solderable, and seem strong enough. I would prefer thicker nickel plating, but still excellent connectors.
