The Bescor LED-125 On-Camera Light with Vello Multi-Function Ball Head Kit from B&H combines a handy 125 watt-equivalent LED light with a ball head that'll let you tilt the light up to 90°.
The light measures about 4 x 4" and delivers a 6500K daylight color. An included amber-colored filter will adjust that color to 4300K for shooting indoors. And a 100 to 25% brightness dimmer will regulate the light's 125 watt-equivalent intensity to additionally tune to your changing shooting situations. The light powers by six AA batteries, by any 12V Bescor battery, or by AC adapter (all sold separately).
Although the light is equipped with a shoe mount and can attach by it right onto most any camera, attaching instead by means of the ball head will allow the 90° tilt mentioned above and will also add about 3" of height off of the camera. The ball head is called "multi function" because in addition to its tilt capabilities it also has 1/4" screws that accessories alternate to the light can be attached to, accessories such as monitors. The screws are under the shoe mounts of the ball head and are accessible upon removing the shoe mounts. Please note that the head's lower shoe is compatible with most standard camera shoe mounts except for Sony's DSLR flash shoe.
