Poor connection design

I don't like the design of the wire connection points. The tip lead is just a barely cored out center pin. The ring lead is conventional with a silver tab and a hole for the wire. The ground connection is just the big tab and no wire holes. The best I could accomplish is the right ear, but not the left. I will have to start over with another one that I get somewhere.
