The Vidpro K-120 On-Camera LED Light with Multiple Accessories and Vello Multi-Function Ball Head Kit from B&H combines a handy 75 watt-equivalent LED light with a ball head that'll let you tilt the light up to 90° and with the many accessories that are normally packaged with the light.
The light measures about 4 x 5" and delivers a 5600K daylight color. It comes with a 4300K filter for warming that color down to shoot indoors and with a soft diffuser for smoothing out contrast and reducing shadows by softening and spreading out the light's 75 watt-equivalent intensity. The light also has a 100 to 0% brightness dimmer for regulating that intensity to additionally tune to your changing shooting situations. For power, a power adapter, a rechargeable battery, and a charger are included. And also included is an adapter for Sony's Active Interface Shoe Mount. Everything so far mentioned comes neatly packaged in a compartmentalized carry case.
Although the light has a shoe mount for attaching right to the top of a camera, attaching instead by means of the ball head will allow the 90° tilt mentioned above and will also add about 3" of height off of the camera. The ball head is called "multi function" because in addition to its tilt capabilities it also has 1/4" screws that accessories alternate to the light can be attached to, accessories such as monitors. The screws are under the shoe mounts of the ball head and are accessible upon removing the shoe mounts. As for panning, a Sony hot shoe adapter comes with kit to be used substitute to the ball head. You'll be able to swap the adapter and ball head back and forth to pan with one and tilt with the other. Please note that the ball head's lower shoe is compatible with most standard camera shoe mounts except for Sony's DSLR flash shoe.
