Auray IP-S Isolation Pad for Studio Monitor (Small, Single)
Key Features
  • Prevents Resonant Coupling
  • Reduces Vibration & Acoustic Energy
  • Greater Depth of Field
  • Greater Detail Across Frequency Spectrum
The small IP-S Isolation Pad from Auray is a monitor speaker isolation pad made from high-density acoustic foam. It is designed to decouple your monitor speakers from its resting surface by absorbing the monitor's vibrations. This stops reverberation through the desk or speaker stands, therefore preventing unwanted resonance. Removing these unwelcome vibrations results in greater depth of field, tighter low end and transient response, and a higher level of detail across the frequency spectrum.

Auray IP-S Reviews

Very Large and Not Angled Enough

On the plus side, they do a good job at isolating vibrations. I ended up throwing them out, though, and getting some wedges that were smaller and allowed my speakers to be pitched at a steeper angle. The measurements are given, so I wasn't that surprised or bothered by their size, but I was expecting there to be a much larger difference in the angle if used them facing backwards vs. forwards. It's really a very tiny incline. I tried cutting them to make the incline steeper, but it was hard to cut them on an angle and keep the cut clean. I wish they had been scored so that you could cut or tear them to the angle you're looking for.

Array isolation pads are the perfect accessory for your studio monitors. They minimize unnecessary vibration while enhance the lower frequencies. The pads optional angles provide ear level monitoring while maintaining a clean simple setup. Highly recommend Auray.

Does it fit an Adam T5V monitor?
Asked by: Nícolas
The Adam Professional Audio T5V is about two inches bigger than the Auray IP-S Isolation Pads for Studio Monitors (Small, Pair). The Auray IP-M Isolation Pads for Studio Monitors (Medium, Pair), BH # AUIPMPK, are recommended.

question

Will this small pad fit KRK Rokit 5 G3 monitors?
Asked by: Adam P.
I have the KRK Rokit 5 and they fit perfectly. If you are putting the speakers under a shelf, be aware of the extra height the pad will give.
