The 25" PSC Breakaway Cable for the Zaxcom Production Sound System is designed to connect the Nomad to most video cameras. The Nomad end of the cable features one TA5F connector. One connector carries the audio output and the other carries the audio return.
The video camera end of the cable features two full-sized XLR-3M cables for connecting to the video camera inputs, and a 3.5mm right-angled male mini plug to carry a tape return signal from the camera to the Nomad. A 3.5mm female mini jack allows the camera operator to connect headphones for monitoring. The entire snake cable is equipped with Neutricon 8-pin quick release connectors that allow the operator to quickly disconnect the umbilical cable from the camera.
