It fits perfectly in the cart and adds a bottom support when you also use the bag for holding stands and tripods. Really useful!

Gets the job done but didn't quite fit as tight as I would've liked. But, it was easily fixed with a small spacer.

I've owned the cart and this rack extension for 8 years. Yes, you can close the cart with the extension. I have a tripod / c stand slipover 'golfbag' on one of the upright handles and use this extension rack as a base so all the weight isn't carried by the seams of the bag. The weight and footprint of the cart go up with this attachment but it's very useful. I wish you could more easily remove it but then again, if you could, it probably wouldn't be as sturdy.
