Sennheiser MZH 600 reviews

MZH 600 Windshield is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Dead-Cat Windshield This is a great add on for your MKE-600 Mic. In fact, it will work with many other mic's in the Sennheiser line (and probably others as well). I used the 600 with and without this windshield and the difference between recordings was amazing. Compared to the supplied foam windshield, this MZH600 cuts out all remaining wind noise - as well as speech generated noise as well. If you are investing in your audio equipment - and are already investing into a quality mic, don't skimp on the accessory that helps you get the results you want. I always say: your audio is only as good as your weakest link... and its especially true for windshields. Get a dead-cat made for your specific mic - you will never regret it. In this case, its a no brainer - you've got to get this if you are serious about your audio!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed Fits snuggly on the Sennheiser MKE 600 short shotgun mic without fear of it falling off or working loose on its own. This is not one of those socks that fits over the foam windscreen, but is used in place of it. This windscreen does a good job of blocking out wind noise from all but medium-heavy to hard gusts. It seems well made, I have not had any issues yet with it shedding. I can't tell any real difference in audio quality with it on or off the mic as far as muffled or dulled sounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! Have been renting a huge blimp and dead cat for a long time to go over my MZH 600. Was tired of running to the rental house and decided to pick this up as a solution. And.... I love it! It works, it's small, it's compact. It streamlines the process and makes it easier to rig the MZH 600 on the camera. Pick it up if you want to be able to run and gun with ease.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far it works as intended. I've used it twice, so far. Both were for short video recording projects that took place outdoors, using Sennheiser's MKE 600 shotgun microphone. There was a gentle breeze both times. This windshield did a nice job lessening the wind artifact sound that might have been recorded otherwise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed I bought this to use with a Sennheiser MKE 600 mic. You have to take the Senn foam windscreen off to put this dead cat on the mic. It doesn't cover all the lateral slots on that mic, and extends off the end of the mic so much that it enters the picture when the mic is mounted in the mic holder at the 2:00 o'clock position on the Panasonic HC-X1000. I think a cloth dead cat that would go over the existing foam windscreen would have been better for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit for senheiser MZH 600 mic I'm newly producer I used this for independent short production. I was looking for a dead cat that will diffuses the wind noise this works as described. Now I don't have to worry of the wind ruined my audio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Nice snug for for the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone. Helps a good microphone go the distance in those tough to record scenarios. A must have for pro videographers living in windy places like Wyoming.
