The length is described as 15 inches or 40cm. Is the length when the coil is gently stretched to its maximum? What is the length when not pulled?
Asked by: John
The length is 10" at rest. You can stretch it to 18", but 15" falls within the design parameters.

Hello! I want to attach a Rode Go transmitter via velcro to the XLR connector, and attach to a shotgun mic to allow more flexibility. Will the cable and connector shielding block errant 2.4Ghz transmission with it so close? Thanks -- Sennheiser support doesn't seem to offer direct-consumer support but you all do a great job with Q&A!
Asked by: Ron
That should work, assuming the shotgun you are using does not need phantom power. The RODE will only provide plug in power

ng1 w/ sony a7sii will it work?
Asked by: Percell
A Rode NTG-1 mic requires phantom power, so this cable will not work connected directly out of the mic to a Sony a7III camera. The mic would require a device, such as the Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter, BH #SASRPAX1, which will come with a 3.5mm mic level cable, and power up to two XLR microphones.

question

Would this cable work for a wireless hop from audio recorder (with XLR outputs) using a G3 to camera? Or more specifically, will the TRS connection work with G3 transceiver?
Asked by: Ryan
It should be able to if it has its own internal power.

question

will this cable be able to work my azden sgm 1x to my gh3. do i need my phantom power on?
Asked by: freddie o.
The Azden SGM-1X draws its power from a local battery. Using a Kopul LMT-100, users can connect the shotgun microphone into the 3.5mm input jack of the Panasonic GH-3. The Ka600 cable is not recommended as it lacks a transformer used to match the impedance of the microphone and camera.
