I want to attach a Rode Go transmitter via velcro to the XLR connector, and attach to a shotgun mic to allow more flexibility. Will the cable and connector shielding block errant 2.4Ghz transmission with it so close? Thanks -- Sennheiser support doesn't seem to offer direct-consumer support but you all do a great job with Q&A!
That should work, assuming the shotgun you are using does not need phantom power. The RODE will only provide plug in power

A Rode NTG-1 mic requires phantom power, so this cable will not work connected directly out of the mic to a Sony a7III camera. The mic would require a device, such as the Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter, BH #SASRPAX1, which will come with a 3.5mm mic level cable, and power up to two XLR microphones.
