The Samyang 24mm T1.5 Cine Lens for Canon EF-Mount was developed primarily for film and video applications. The cine version of Samyang's 24mm lens features industry-standard gearing for the focus and aperture ring, and the aperture ring has been "declicked" for smooth iris pulls. The aperture and focus scales have also been relocated to the side of the lens, where it is easier for focus pullers to read them.

The Samyang 24mm cine lens is compatible with full-frame sensors. APS-C sensors with a crop factor of 1.5 will exhibit a 35mm equivalent angle-of-view of approximately 36mm. The optical construction is comprised of 13 lens elements arranged in 12 groups. Four elements are low-dispersion glass (ED), plus two aspheric elements. The 24mm features Ultra Multi Coated (UMC) multi-coated lenses for improved light transmission and resistance to ghosting and flares.

24mm T1.5 Cine Lens for Canon EF-Mount is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price, with a major issue The 24mm T1.5 Cine is a very well constructed lens, sturdy and weighty it feels solid and of high quality. The IQ produced is of a high standard but has a major drawback, the lens is soft wide open and only gets sharp at around f2.8. Which negates the speed drawcard quite a bit. Used within that limitation this is a very good lens at a very good price. This lens was used on a Blackmagic Cinema Camera and a Canon 7D.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 24mm 1.5 is too good to be true Quite dissapointed by this lens. Pretty much everyone admits that this lens is slightly or a little bit soft up until 2.8, but I use it on a GH4 and a BMCC and it is really really WOEFULLY unusably soft at those speeds. Therefore don't consider this lens to be a fast sub f2 prime, you really need to think of it as an f3 prime. I've heard reports that each lens is different so maybe I just got a dud out of the factory. 85mm is much nicer and I haven't had a chance to play with the 35mm
