Roland UM-ONE mk2 Overview

The UM-ONE mk2 from Roland is a compact 16-channel MIDI interface. The in-line cable form factor provides a single MIDI output and a single MIDI output connector on one side, and a USB cable on the other with a Type A USB connector.

The USB bus powered interface includes high-performance FPT processing for low latency and tighter clock timing. Compatible with Mac and PC computers, and iOS for the Apple iPad (requires optional Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit), the super compact interface is affordable, reliable, and easy-to-use.

connections work directly in to midi in and out to midi out for the mt-32. the status lights are a nice addition.

Works right out of the box. Plug-and-play on windows 11 with hiccups on my end. My DAW recognized my Yamaha keyboard with ease and I was able to start using it in minutes.

Is it possible to download the drivers online ...

Is it possible to download the drivers online from Roland? I don't have a CD or DVD drive on my iMac. I want to connect my (25-yr-old) Yamaha GranTouch digital piano (with 5-pin MIDI connectors-no USB) to my iMac with OS Catalina.

The Roland UM-ONE mk2 seems like a "class-compliant" MIDI device, which means it should not require a special driver, and most modern operating systems already have a generic driver to communicate with it. So I was able to use this with my 2017 mac laptop, my iPad, and my Android phone, all without installing any special drivers. I did need other hardware adapters for it to work with my iPad and Android phone.

Will this allow me to save my drum kits data from my Roland TD-10 drum module (via the MIDI out) to my Mac as a back up of those kit files?

Yes, the Roland UM-ONE mk2 In-Line USB MIDI Interface will allow you to connect the MIDI outpuf rom the Roland TD-10 Percussion Sound Module to your computer via USB to save the data. The user manual for the TD-10 provides details for different options that can be used to transfer data.

It depends on the synth. If your Korg synth has a USB interface that sends in/out midi data then yes. Most modern korgs with USB send midi in/out data, so this will work for you.
