Wooden Camera 143600 Reviews

A great symmetrical Arri dovetail.

I had been planning to upgrade to Arri standard dovetails for some time, and I'm so glad I did. It's much faster to rebalance cameras, as well as quickly move from sticks to steadi to handheld rigs. There were two features that made me chose the one...one, the price. It's not cheap, but it's the same price or significantly better than all the other oconnor Arri style dovetails out there, and two...it's symmetrical. Every once in awhile (usually because of an unusual camera built for whatever reason, or an unusual mount like certain vehicle mounts), it's much easier to slide the camera out of the front instead of the back...or just slide it on one direction and then slide it off the other side...this is the only Arri dovetail I know that's symetrical, which just gives it a little extra flexibility.
