Freehands 11271MM overview

  • 1Description

The medium Men's Soft Shell Ski/Snowboard Gloves from Freehands is a very warm glove that features a soft outer polyester shell and velour lining. It's waterproof and breathable with a sure grip palm. For using your smartphone, the index finger and thumb both have magnets that can be released for fine work or that will hold the caps down. The glove features an adjustable web strap and cord lock. For added dexterity, the thumb is suede.

To determine what size glove you require, measure the circumference of your dominant hand with a tape measure around the knuckles of your hand. This typically determines what size you will need.

Freehands 11271MM reviews

Men's Soft Shell Ski/Snowboard Gloves (Medium) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cold-weather photo gloves I took these for a spin today at 15 degrees F. I stuck some handwarmer packets in the small pockets on teh back, and my hands stayed warm for a 90 minutes walking around in the woods and taking pictures. Even the tips of my fingers stayed warm once the packets warmed up. I usually have very cold hands, and a similar trip with the lighter Freehands gloves left my hands numb with cold. In both cases, I had a warm down jacket, long underwear, etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thumbs up Worked great for a shoot at the base camp of Mount Everest. At least during the day in 20 degree weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm hands in the alpine I shoot a lot in the winter and above the tree line. When shooting, these are great gloves. They are not as warm as my ski gloves; so, during the heart of the Winter, I travel to and from my locations with my ski gloves and switch to these for shooting. At lower elevations or during the shoulder seasons they are perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I've come across I think these gloves are about as good as you can get. They are comfortable, warm, and allow a good range of motion.I spent about 4 hours at a time wearing these gloves in temperatures in the low 30s. These gloves did a great job of keeping my hands warm and allowing me to use my camera without taking them off.I was a little worried that they would be too thin, after I got them. Half of the glove is neoprene. That turned out not to be the case though. They kept my hands really warm. It became obvious how cold it was outside, every time I flipped the finger tips back and felt how quickly my fingertips would get cold. The gloves did a great job of keeping the cold air out of the gloves though. The other nice thing is the magnets that hold the fingertips back when you expose your fingers. The work really well without any effort. The fact that the wrists are extended really helps keep the cold out.I got the medium, which fit my hands perfectly, if a bit snug. I can usually wear a medium or large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My primary photography glove As opposed to freehand's stretch gloves, I found these very useful. While bitter cold can still get through to the index and thumb fingertips, and they are not the world's warmest glove overall, they are the best option for fairly good warmth combined with great dexterity when you need it. I love them, and they have held up to a month of daily use in cold and occasionally wet wildlife photography conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best so far for cold weather photography I use these gloves for everything in cold weather. They function perfectly for working a camera with the flip over finger and thumb ends. They are very comfortable and fit well. However I can still feel the cold through the flip over ends when on as they are very thin and could be made a bit warmer. As a result, I may buy a different pair of cold weather gloves for all other uses.
