Canare EO-100B Electrical BNC to Optical Fiber Media Converter Module

Convert and upgrade your signal level and distance with the EO-100B Electrical to Optical Media Converter Module from Canare, a hot-swappable I/O module that features one BNC input and one optical, single-mode fiber output connector for media conversion. The module supports electrical HD/SD-SDI, DVB-ASI, and embedded audio signals and converts them to optical signals for output over a fiber optic cable. The module takes up a single slot and it supports hot-swapping.

The converter transmits using a 1310nm wavelength, SDI impedance of 75 ohms, -3.5 dBm emission, 50 to 1485 Mb/s bandwidth, and it also supports reclocking. The converter is SMPTE 259M, 292M, 297-2006, and 424M, EN50083-9 compliant. It can transmit HD-SDI signals using L-5CFB coax cabling up to 591' and up to 18.6 miles to a receiver module such as the OE-101B using optical fiber.
