The Canare OE-501 AES-3id Optical to Electric Converter optically converts AES signals from up to 8 ports (16 audio channels) to allow them to be transmitted over long distances. Further, the converter uses coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) to allow AES signals from up to 64 ports (128 audio channels) to be transmitted via a single fiber-optic cable.
Supports AES-3id-1995 and SMPTE 276M format signals
Asynchronous AES signals are acceptable
Word clocks (30 to 50 KHz) are acceptable
